Bilawal pushes for transparent BISP payments in Balochistan

Pakistan wants peace, willing to resolve all issues through dialogue with India: Bilawal

ISLAMABAD: Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, met with Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) Chairperson Senator Rubina Khalid at Zardari House in Islamabad on Friday.

During the meeting, Chairman Bilawal issued directives to make the BISP payment system more transparent. He stressed that the primary goal is to ensure financial aid is distributed fairly to all deserving individuals. He also emphasized that the distribution mechanism must be designed to protect the dignity and self-respect of the women beneficiaries.

Senator Rubina Khalid assured the Chairman that improvements would be implemented soon to enhance the transparency and efficiency of the payment process.

The discussion also included the Benazir Hunarmand Programme, for which Senator Khalid provided a progress update on its ongoing initiatives.

Last month Chief Minister CM of Balochistan, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, held separate meetings with two key federal officials on Wednesday, focusing on social welfare and climate change.

In a meeting with Senator Rubina Khalid, the Chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP), CM Bugti discussed enhancing support for poor and deserving families in the province.

He assured that the provincial government would extend full cooperation to make the financial assistance process more transparent and effective.

A key priority, he emphasized, is ensuring that women and children in Balochistan’s remote and backward areas can easily access the program’s.
