QUETTA: The Balochistan Food Authority (BFA) has busted a secret factory producing fake butter under the name of the popular brand Liaquat Butter in the provincial capital of Balochistan.
According to details, the BFA carried out operation on Jan Muhammad Road of Quetta, where BFA officials sealed the illegal production unit. A large quantity of counterfeit butter was recovered from the site, along with harmful margarine, fake cream, and substandard packaging materials.
BFA officials told media that the factory was involved in manufacturing and distributing fake dairy products using packaging that closely resembled the original Liaquat Butter branding, deceiving consumers and risking public health.
Authorities confirmed that the factory has been sealed immediately, and further legal action has been initiated against those responsible.
