BRASILIA: Brazilian fast bowler Laura Cardoso created history in women’s T20 International cricket by becoming the first player ever to take 9 wickets in a single T20I innings.
Cardoso achieved the remarkable feat against Lesotho, taking 9 wickets for just 4 runs.
Her sensational bowling helped restrict Lesotho to a mere 13 runs after Brazil posted 202 runs batting first.
Brazil won the match by a massive 189 runs.
This performance surpasses the previous records 8 wickets by Bhutan’s Sonam Yeshi (men’s T20I) and 7 wickets by Indonesia’s Rohmalia (women’s T20I).
