Baluchistan Assembly condemns recent incidents of violence

QUETTA: A condemnation resolution was tabled in the Baluchistan Assembly concerning recent unrest and violent incidents across the province.

According to a private TV channel’s report, the resolution was presented by Provincial Minister Ali Madad Jatak of the Pakistan Peoples Party.

It strongly condemned the firing incident on a passenger bus traveling from Karachi to Quetta, in which three qawwals were tragically martyred.

Ali Madad Jatak emphasized that all parties must unite to combat terrorism in the province.

The resolution also condemned the tragic incident that occurred in Degari Sanjidi.

Meanwhile, opposition member Asadullah Baloch claimed that on July 9, a raid was carried out at his home and that he was detained by the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) for four hours before being released.

He protested that if there were any questions or inquiries, he should have been summoned formally, not harassed in such a manner.

He stated that such actions only breed resentment. Following his protest, Asadullah Baloch walked out of the assembly session.
