ISLAMABAD: Pakistan famed mixed martial arts champion, Shahzeb Rind, is set for a bold new challenge. The 27-year-old will compete in the 155lbs weight class at Karate Combat 59 in Miami on February 13, moving up from his dominant 150lbs division.
Hailing from Quetta, Balochistan, Rind carries an undefeated record in Karate Combat over the past three years, having defeated elite international opponents. His journey began in childhood on the streets of Quetta, training across multiple disciplines including wushu sanda, boxing, and kickboxing, leading to multiple national championships.
Rind already etched his name in history by becoming Pakistan’s first world champion in the sport at KC-49 in Singapore and successfully defending his title in Miami. This next fight is more than a title defense; it’s a test of his strength and consistency against larger opponents in a new weight class.
His success is a point of immense national pride and symbolizes Pakistan’s rising stature in global combat sports. A victory at KC59 could pave the way for opportunities on premier platforms like the UFC, further elevating Pakistan’s profile. Rind’s dedication and inspiring journey from Balochistan to world champion continue to motivate a new generation of Pakistani fighters.
