QUETTA: A meeting on Family Planning and Reproductive Health was held in Balochistan. Secretary Population Welfare Department, Mr. Abdullah Khan, chaired the session.
UNFPA Provincial Lead Ms. Sadia Atta, AS Population Mr. Muhammad Ayub, Dr. Sarmad Saeed from UNFPA, Director Population Mr. Jumma Khan, and other officials attended.
The meeting reviewed progress under the joint work plan between the Population Welfare Department and UNFPA.
Participants agreed to implement several joint activities throughout the year.
UNFPA also reaffirmed its support for the “Month of Activism,” scheduled from July 1 to July 30. This campaign will raise awareness on population and reproductive health across Balochistan.
Secretary Abdullah Khan highlighted the department’s commitment to community engagement in Family Planning and Reproductive Health.
He said this aligns with the vision of Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, and the support of the Parliamentary Secretary on Population.
