QUETTA: The Balochistan government has decided to establish a separate jail for child prisoners in the province.
According to the Jail Department officials, the construction of the new facility in Quetta will soon begin at an estimated cost of Rs 750 million.
For the time being, authorities will set up a temporary juvenile detention center on Sariab Road until the new prison is completed.
Officials said the model juvenile jail will include a school and a vocational training center to help young inmates acquire education and professional skills.
