Balochistan CM orders strict measures on Afghan refugee repatriation

QUETTA : Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir Khan has directed all provincial secretaries to prioritize public service and resolve citizen complaints promptly, emphasizing that this is both a moral duty and a legal obligation.

Chairing a meeting of the Secretaries Committee on Wednesday, the Chief Secretary reviewed key issues including the file tracking system, development projects, and public complaints on the Pakistan Citizen Portal.

He championed the shift to a cashless economy, calling it a major step toward transparency and ease, and urged all public and private sector transactions to move to digital systems.

The meeting also stressed the critical importance of birth, death, and marriage registration, noting that these records are essential for protecting citizens’ rights and enabling accurate government planning. Citizens were urged to consider registration mandatory to access legal protections and facilities.

The Chief Secretary further instructed officials to ensure the timely completion of development projects across Balochistan to foster progress in the province.
