Balochistan stands united with forces amid border clashes with Afghan forces

QUETTA: The recent border skirmish between security forces and Afghan forces has not only intensified regional tensions but also dispelled longstanding propaganda suggesting that the people of Balochistan do not stand with the state of Pakistan.

In this regard, from Chagai to Gwadar, scenes of solidarity unfolded as residents took to the streets to express support for Pakistan’s armed forces.

In this sense, the demonstrations and gatherings across several districts mentioned a rare moment of unity, where citizens voiced their resolve to defend the country’s sovereignty and denounce external aggression.

Furthermore, when Afghan Taliban forces allegedly attempted to target civilian areas inside Balochistan, local tribes reportedly offered to take up arms and move toward the border in defense of their homeland.

The gesture, though symbolic, underlined a deep sense of national loyalty among the Baloch population.

Moreover, the public demonstrations in Quetta, Turbat, and Panjgur also reflected widespread calls for peace and stability along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.

The Tribal elders and community leaders urged both nations to resolve disputes through dialogue, while confirming their commitment to national integrity.

The border clash has revived debate over cross-border militancy and the need for stronger coordination between Islamabad and Kabul.
