Balochistan spurs educational progress in Turbat: DG ISPR

QUETTA: Turbat now covers more universities than Sheikhupura, a city twice its size in Punjab, mentioning the government and Pakistan Army’s constant commitment to the province’s development.  This milestone, recently underlined by Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Lt General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, indicates a broader strategy to uplift Balochistan through targeted investments in education, infrastructure, and social welfare.

Furthermore, the establishment of the University of Turbat stands as a flagship achievement, providing unprecedented opportunities for higher education to students from Turbat and neighboring districts such as Panjgur, Gwadar, and Awaran. 

Since its charter in 2012, the university has not only bolstered academic excellence but also generated approximately 500 job opportunities annually, directly enhancing the region’s socio-economic fabric. 

The institution’s focus on transparent governance, meritocracy, and digital transformation further positions it as a model for educational advancement in Pakistan.
