Balochistan sets up flood control centers to tackle looming flood threat

QUETTA: With the rising water levels in the River Sindh, the provincial government of Balochistan has taken preventive measures by establishing flood control centers across various districts to mitigate the impact of potential floods. To address the situation proactively, the provincial government has put the Irrigation Department on high alert. As part of the flood mitigation strategy, 16 flood control centers have been set up across various locations in Balochistan. These centers are equipped with necessary machinery to handle floodwaters and provide relief in case of emergency.
