Balochistan, KP praise Pakistan Army as nation enters ‘golden era’ of stability

QUETTA: The people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan have lauded the Pakistan Army for its decisive role in restoring peace and ensuring national stability.

Citizens from various districts expressed deep appreciation for the armed forces’ efforts in defending the country and promoting development and prosperity.

The citizens said that the world now recognises Pakistan’s growing military strength, citing the Pakistan-India conflicts as clear evidence of the nation’s defence capabilities.

They said that the Pakistan Army responded effectively and decisively to recent cross-border intrusions from Afghanistan, proving its operational readiness and resolve.

They praised that Pakistan has taken firm action against all forms of internal unrest and militant groups that emerged over the years. Calling this a “golden era” in the nation’s history, they credited the Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and the government for projecting a positive image of Pakistan on the global stage—something, they said, never witnessed before.

Residents further highlighted that Pakistan has suffered significant human and financial losses because of Afghanistan’s continued sheltering of extremist elements. They said Pakistan was compelled to strike militant hideouts across the border to safeguard its own security and peace.

They added that Pakistan desires a complete end to terrorism and aims to protect its citizens from further harm.

The citizens urged Afghanistan to take responsibility for militants operating from its soil, adding that cooperation with Pakistan in counterterrorism efforts would be the most effective way forward.

Ealier this week, the Inspector General (IG) of Police for Balochistan, Muhammad Tahir, has issued a high-alert warning for a heightened risk of terrorist attacks in Quetta and other districts across the province.

IG Tahir stated that the threat of terrorism has increased significantly following recent regional tensions. He attributed the danger to terrorists operating from Afghanistan after the withdrawal of international forces.

He revealed that security forces have successfully foiled 99 percent of planned terrorist attacks. He described the current conflict as a “hybrid warfare,” requiring different tactics.
