Balochistan govt strongly condemns incident Mastung attack

MASTUNG: Balochistan government spokesperson Shahid Rind on Friday strongly condemned a terrorist attack on a police convoy near the Chutu area of Mastung district, which claimed the lives of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Abdul Razzaq and Constable Raza Muhammad.

The attack occurred as the police convoy was travelling from Kalat to Quetta. The convoy came under sudden fire from unidentified assailants in a remote area, resulting in casualties. 

Shahid Rind expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives and extended condolences to the families of the martyred officers.  He ensured the provincial government’s commitment to fighting terrorism and ensuring the safety of citizens.

Furthermore, following the attack, law enforcement agencies quickly cordoned off the area and launched a large-scale search operation to trace and apprehend those responsible for the act of terrorism. 

The security forces are reported to be combing the surrounding regions for suspects. In such a scenario, the spokesperson focused on that security measures are being strengthened throughout the province and reiterated the government’s resolve to eradicate terrorism.

This incident mentions the persistent security challenges in parts of Balochistan, where police and security forces remain on the frontline against terrorist threats.
