QUETTA: The Government of Balochistan’s Services and General Administration Department (S&GAD) has issued a notification announcing the winter office timings for all administrative departments and their subordinate offices across the province.
According to the notification, the revised schedule will be in effect from October 15, 2025, to April 14, 2026, under the five-day working week system.
- Monday to Thursday: 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (with a lunch and prayer break from 1:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.)
- Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (with a Juma/lunch break from 1:15 p.m. to 2:15 p.m.)
The S&GAD clarified that the new timings will not apply to hospitals and educational institutions, including universities, colleges, and schools. However, the administrative offices under the Health and Education Departments will continue to follow a six-day working week.
The government stated that the adjustment has been made to improve administrative efficiency and accommodate shorter daylight hours during the winter season.
