QUETTA: The Balochistan government declared September 6, 2025, a public holiday across the province on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (12 Rabi-ul-Awwal 1447 AH).
The Services and General Administration Department (S&GAD) issued a notification announcing the holiday. It said all government, semi-government offices and educational institutions would remain closed on the day.
An S&GAD spokesperson said the provincial government took the decision to allow people to celebrate the festival with religious devotion and respect. Processions, gatherings, and other religious events will take place across the province, with strict security arrangements in place.
The government directed district administrations to maintain law and order during the processions and improve traffic management for citizens’ convenience. Authorities also urged the public to mark the occasion in the spirit of religious harmony and tolerance.
Every year, Balochistan hosts large-scale celebrations on Eid Milad-un-Nabi, drawing thousands of participants. The provincial government appealed for public cooperation to ensure peaceful observance of the day.
