QUETTA: Chief Secretary Balochistan Shakeel Qadir Khan has directed the officials to improve the service delivery, resolve public issues quickly and strengthen connections with citizens through field visits and open courts.
According to report, Chief Secretary Balochistan Shakeel Qadir Khan chaired an important conference with all Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners to review key public service matters, inflation control and development projects across the province.
Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir Khan also directed the officials to complete the recruitments on the vacant government positions within three months in a transparent and merit-based manner.
The Chief Secretary instructed district officials to monitor prices of daily-use items closely and take strong action against hoarders and profiteers. He said the market monitoring system must be made more effective to provide relief to the public.
During the meeting, Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir Khan also ordered action to speed up the repatriation of illegal immigrants and PoR (Proof of Registration) cards holders as the deadline for the Afghan citizens is over on July 31.

The meeting was informed that 3,062 development projects were completed in the fiscal year 2024–25. The Chief Secretary said such projects bring positive change to people’s lives and help in social and economic development.
