Balochistan Board announces results of intermediate exams

Quetta: The Balochistan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education has announced the results of the intermediate examinations.

According to Chairman Muhammad Ishaq, a total of 101,193 candidates appeared in the exams, out of which 91,400 were declared successful, recording an overall pass percentage of 90.3%.

He further shared those 46,737 students appeared in the first-year examinations, with a success rate of 86.4%.

In the second year, 54,456 students took the exams, of which 51,037 passed, achieving a pass rate of 93.7%.

Chairman Ishaq also announced the top positions: Syed Abdul Mateen, a student of Government Inter College Hurmzai, secured first position with 1,051 marks.

Syed Israr Ahmed from Government Inter College Peer Alizai obtained second position with 1,050 marks, while Bibi Safia of Taameer-e-Nau Girls College stood third with 1,049 marks.

It is worth mentioning that the results portraits a massive success for the students despite the fact that there are challenges in Balochistan.

The ongoing chaos and unrest have also affected the educational institutes.

Th foreign funded militants have also been targeting students for their wicked aims.

The Khuzdar bus attack was the incident in which six innocent female students lost their lives.

In the meanwhile, the Balochistan government has strived for the rehabilitation of education in the province.

As many as 1200 schools were reopened and some 90 thousand students were enlightened with education.

The CM said that some 8500 new teachers were hired on merit. the Balochistan government aims to reopen another 1200 schools in the coming year.
