Balochistan Awami Party Slams Mahmood Khan Achakzai Over Controversial Remarks

Balochistan Awami Party Slams Mahmood Khan Achakzai

QUETTA: The Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) strongly criticised politician Mahmood Khan Achakzai on Monday over his claim that some areas could separate from Pakistan within four months.

In a statement issued from Quetta, BAP central spokesperson Mir Ziaullah Langove, said Achakzai’s politics has long revolved around ethnic hatred, national division, and negative narratives.

He said Achakzai repeatedly incited tensions between Baloch and Pashtun communities. He added that past efforts also aimed to fuel hostility against Punjabis in Balochistan.

Langove said Achakzai never promoted national unity, brotherhood, or stability. Instead, he said, his politics centered on disruption, separatism, and hatred. He added that such ideas may appeal in dreams but have no place in practical politics.

The BAP spokesperson said voters in Balochistan clearly rejected Achakzai in the recent elections. He claimed Achakzai now seeks political survival by leaning on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). He said slogans such as “Deh Chitral Deh Bolan” have already been exposed and understood by the public.

Langove said dreaming is not a crime, but seeing such dreams in broad daylight reflects political immaturity. He added that such statements have raised serious questions about Achakzai’s loyalty to Pakistan.
