Balochistan Assembly to Meet Tomorrow

QUETTA: Balochistan Governor Jaffar Khan Mandokhail has summoned a session of the Balochistan Assembly for March 13(tomorrow) at 3pm.

The governor summoned the assembly session under Article 109(a) of the Constitution. According to an official notification, entry of officers and staff of all departments, representatives of print and electronic media, and visitors will be strictly prohibited during the session.

Shahid Hamid Rand, Special Assistant on Political and Media Affairs to the Chief Minister of Balochistan, said the provincial cabinet held an important meeting on Wednesday to discuss a long-term development strategy.

Speaking to the media after the session, Rand said all cabinet members were briefed and consulted during the meeting.

He announced that the province will now develop a provincial action plan modeled on the National Action Plan. The goal is to strengthen law and order and improve administrative governance across Balochistan.

Rand described the 10-year plan as a shared roadmap for the province’s future, covering both security and development needs.

He said the provincial action plan will ensure security and economic stability.

The plan aims to strengthen Balochistan’s development infrastructure, provide dignified employment for youth, and make the region peaceful, stable, and economically robust.
