Balochistan Assembly’s recruitment ads challenged in High Court

Quetta: The process of advertising vacant positions in the Balochistan Assembly without referring them to the Balochistan Public Service Commission (BPSC) has been challenged in the Balochistan High Court.

On Wednesday, Advocate Salman Sanjrani, along with fellow lawyers Mubashir Khan Kakr and Shahryar Ali, filed a constitutional petition against the recruitment ads issued by the Assembly.

The petitioners argued that the Assembly advertised the posts without referring them to BPSC, which constitutes a violation of the Constitution and the law.

According to the petition, the recruitment process undermines transparency and merit.

The High Court has accepted the petition for hearing and issued notices to the concerned parties.

Advocate Salman Sanjrani stated that the court has also directed the relevant authorities to halt any final recruitments or appointments until a final decision is made in the case.

It is worth mentioning that despite claims of meritocracy, many such scandals are unveiled across Balochistan when people are enrolled on many key position without carrying out a fair system of appointments.

This goes down as one of the fundamental things that cause frustration and disappointments among the youth of Balochistan.

Be it the scholarships, or the jobs, still there are deep concerns regarding the merit and justice across Balochistan.

The analyst believe that if the government and the state-run institutions literally aim to eliminate deprivation, the supremacy and the rule of law and merit needs to be enforced firmly.

The development projects run in Balochistan may be a good way to bring prosperity, but one has to make sure that the people of Balochistan should be prioritized for the jobs, businesses, education, healthcare and safety for the better growth of the individuals of Balochistan.
