Bill passed to protect Balochistan women from harassment

QUETTA: The Balochistan Assembly has approved the bill to protect the women from harassment.

The chief minister of Balochistan Mir Sarfaraz Bugti says that the bill is major development for the women of Balochistan.

It is state’s obligation to provide the woman with a secure environment on the work places.

The bill will help women feel safe, empowered and confident themselves.

CM Bugti applauded the efforts of Advisor for women development Dr. Rubaba Buledi by saying that she did a marvelous job in this regard.

He greeted all the members of assembly and said that all the members of the house played a positive and progressive role for the approval of the bill.

The CM affirmed that if both men and women work together, this will help our society to grow and will bring social and financial stability in Balochistan as well.

It is worth mentioning that there are as many as six million women residing in Balochistan which is nearly 40 percent of the total population of the province.

The Balochistan women are significant growth in the fields of education, IT, sports, politics, media and journalism and many other important fields.
