QUETTA: The Balochistan government has announced a plan to establish specialised women Dental Centres across the province to improve women’s access to quality healthcare.

The initiative was confirmed by Dr. Rubaba Khan Buledi, Advisor to the Chief Minister for Women Development. She stated that a woman’s “healthy smile reflects her confidence and wellbeing,” and these new centres are designed to support that.

Dr. Buledi made the announcement during a visit to the dental section of Civil Hospital Quetta, where she praised the staff’s dedication and the facility’s cleanliness despite limited resources.

The new centres will be set up in all divisional headquarters of Balochistan. They will provide treatment, preventive care, and oral hygiene awareness to women, with services delivered by lady dental surgeons.

Dr. Buledi emphasised that this project is a key part of the government’s commitment to improving women’s health, welfare, and social empowerment, helping them lead healthier, more independent lives.

Advisor to the Women Development Department, Dr. Rubaba Khan Buledi, emphasized that the Government of Balochistan is taking concrete and sustainable measures to empower women across all sectors of life.

She made these remarks while addressing the launch ceremony of the “Balochistan Gender Parity Report,” organized by UN Women at BUITEMS on Thursday, where she was the chief guest.

The event was attended by Provincial Minister for Education Ms. Raheela Hameed Khan Durrani, Secretary Women Development Ms. Saira Atta, former Chairperson of the Balochistan Commission on the Status of Women Ms. Fauzia Shaheen, civil society representatives, university faculty, students, and prominent women from various fields.
