Balochistan retains age limit for govt jobs

QUETTA: The Government of Balochistan has issued an official notification to retain the existing upper age limit for government employment across the province.

According to the notification released by the Services and General Administration Department (S&GAD) in Quetta, the age relaxation policy will remain in effect from June 24, 2025, to June 23, 2026.

Under this policy, the maximum age limit for applying to government jobs in Balochistan is 43 years, allowing a broader segment of the population—especially those affected by unemployment and delayed recruitment processes—to remain eligible for public sector employment.

Officials say the decision aims to provide fair opportunities to candidates from remote areas, where access to education and employment is often delayed due to socio-economic challenges. The move has been welcomed by job seekers across the province.

The continuation of this age relaxation is seen as a pro-public initiative to address long-standing demands for inclusivity and ease in the recruitment process.
