Bajaur Grand Jirga hails armed forces for defeating Khawarij, restoring peace

A major grand jirga (tribal council) was successfully organized in the Mamond area by the Frontier Corps (FC) North of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

BAJAUR: A major grand jirga (tribal council) was successfully organized in the Mamond area of Bajaur  by the Frontier Corps (FC) North of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The event was attended by a large gathering, including the Inspector General of the FC North, officials from the civil administration, local tribal elders, and members of the public.

The jirga was held as security forces continue intelligence-based operations in the region against the presence of Khawarij (militants). During the meeting, tribal elders strongly reiterated their full support and resolve to stand side-by-side with the Pakistan Army in the fight for peace, vowing to make every sacrifice for the country. They paid a rich tribute to the sacrifices already made by the soldiers.

The public expressed their strong support by chanting slogans in favor of Pakistan and the Pakistan Army. The elders and community members also thanked the Army for organizing the jirga and for its efforts in the safe and timely return of Temporarily Displaced Persons (TDPs) to their homes.
