Baghao: Security forces arrest three BLF facilitators

QUETTA: The security forces have dismantled a key support network of the banned Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) in Baghao, arresting three suspected facilitators involved in plotting large-scale attacks across the province.

The joint operation was carried out by the Frontier Corps (FC), Levies, and intelligence agencies following actionable intelligence.

The suspects were allegedly providing logistical and financial assistance to BLF operatives for planned acts of sabotage in August, with a particular focus on targeting law enforcement agencies (LEAs) and public spaces of strategic importance.

In this sense, during the raid, security personnel recovered critical evidence from the possession of the arrested individuals.

So far, the preliminary interrogation has revealed that the facilitators were part of a broader network tasked with ensuring the movement of funds, supplies, and operational guidance to BLF members across multiple districts.

The operation also indicates a crucial disruption to BLF’s operational chain, with investigators now focusing on tracing additional collaborators and financiers linked to the network.

The arrests come at a time when security forces have intensified surveillance and counter-terrorism measures in the province amid intelligence warnings of renewed militant activity.
