Babar Yousafzai slams BYC for its specified advocacy

ISLAMABAD: Former spokesperson of the Balochistan government and political analyst Babar Yousafzai has stated that Punjabi laborers were subjected to brutality in Balochistan despite only being there to earn a livelihood for their families.

He expressed disappointment that Imaan Mazari has remained silent on this issue, focusing instead on establishing control over the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC).

His remarks were made during a podcast with Buraq Digital.

According to Babar Yousafzai, Imaan Mazari is aiming to replace Mahrang Baloch and both are allegedly driven by a desire for fame.

He claimed that Mazari wields significant control over the Islamabad sit-in, to the extent that independent journalists are not being allowed entry.

He described the Islamabad protest as symbolic, noting it begins at 4 PM and wraps up by 8 PM, with Mazari playing the role of both driver and guard at the protest site.

He added that an internal effort to remove Mahrang from BYC is already underway.

Meanwhile, families of laborers killed in Balochistan have reached Islamabad seeking justice.

They have not concealed their identities and their details can be verified via NADRA.

In contrast, Babar claimed that the missing persons mentioned in the sit-in are mostly in name only, accusing the protest of being a front for attracting foreign attention and increasing international funding.
