ISLAMABAD: Defence Minister Khawaja Asif on Saturday called on all Muslim countries to unite against Israeli aggression.
He was addressing a session of the National Assembly. He said Israel attacked Iran last night, targeted its military sites, and killed senior commanders.
“Israel is not acting alone,” he added.
Asif noted that Iran shares centuries-old ties with Pakistan. He said Pakistan stands by Iran during this difficult time.
“We will protect Iranian interests. Their pain is our pain,” he said.
He warned that Israel is targeting Yemen, Iran, and Palestine. “If we stay silent and divided, no one will be spared,” he cautioned.
He urged the Muslim world to unite. He also called for an emergency OIC meeting.
“Even non-Muslims in the West are protesting Israel’s actions. Their conscience is awake—ours is not,” he remarked.
He reiterated Pakistan’s stance. “We never recognized Israel. We never built ties,” he said.
He mentioned that some Pakistanis visited Israel. But he refused to comment on how or with whose help.
He urged all Muslim countries to cut ties with Israel. “Israel has Muslim blood on its hands. We must reject such hands,” he said.
Khawaja Asif also spoke on India. He said India paid a price for attacking Pakistan. “Their leadership was humiliated. Their fake global image shattered,” he said.
“Our armed forces and people forced a bigger enemy to back down,” he added.
