PESHAWAR: The Deputy Commandant FC has given the briefing about the militant-attack on the FC Headquarters in Peshawar.
According to him, all three militants have been eliminated on the entrance of the FC Headquarters.
He said that the militants attempted a forced entry in the FC Headquarters, however, they were eliminated on the gate of the FC Headquarters.
The Deputy Commandant FC Javed Iqbal has said that three FC personnel embraced martyrdom in the militant attack. Five civilians have sustained injured.
The injured FC Personnel and the civilians have been shifted to the hospital. The IG KP Zulfiqar Hameed said that Two suicide attacks targeted the headquarters of the Federal Constabulary (FC), says IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Both explosions were carried out at the gate of the FC headquarters. He further said that There is information that a few terrorists may have entered the premises, but this has not yet been confirmed
According to the CCPO Dr. Mian Saeed, the militant-attack was launched at 8:11 AM.
The CCPO further said that among the three militants, two were the suicide attackers. One the of the militant exploded himself on the gate of the FC Headquarters.
The remaining two attackers attempted to enter inside the FC Headquarters however, they were immediately killed as a result of the quick response by the security personnel.
The CCPO has further said that the FC officers are collecting the evidenced of the blast.
The latest report suggest that no more firing sounds could be heard and the security forces are carrying out the clearance operation.
The CCPO Peshawar has said that the FC Personnel have neutralized the attack with valor and bravery.
