TUMP: Assistant Commissioner Tump Muhammad Hanif Noorzai has been abducted at gunpoint by unidentified assailants from the Tump tehsil of the Kech district of Balochistan on Wednesday.

As per reports, Muhammad Hanif Noorzai was kidnapped from his car in the Sarinkan area of Tump while travelling to his town on Eidul Adha holidays.

Deputy Commissioner Kech, Bashir Ahmad, confirmed the abduction and strongly condemned the attack.

He revealed that the assailants stopped the vehicle, forcibly took Muhammad Hanif Noorzai at gunpoint, and left his family and driver behind, taking both the officer and car with them.

Calling the act a “grave violation of Baloch traditions,” the Deputy Commissioner said, “Kidnapping a government official in front of his family is not only an act of terrorism but also a blatant insult to the values and customs of this land.” He assured that a full-scale search operation has been launched and that every effort is being made to safely recover the abducted officer.

It is pertinent to mention here that the Indian backed terrorists groups operating in the region and involved in attacks on civilians and government officials.

No group has claimed responsibility for the abduction so far.
