QUETTA: Mir Rehmat Saleh Baloch, a Provincial Assembly member MPA and National Party leader, has publicly accused unknown assailants of murdering his “innocent” younger brother in a targeted attack, alleging it was a conspiratorial act.
In a statement, Mr Baloch said his brother, Waleed Saleh Baloch, was not involved in politics and had no personal disputes. He described the killing as a profound injustice, revealing that his brother’s wedding ceremonies had been due to begin and his marriage was scheduled to take place just ten days after his death.
He provided details of the incident in Panjgur, stating that Waleed was ambushed near his home by four assailants on two motorcycles who opened fire in a coordinated attack before fleeing.
Mr Baloch expressed deep concern over the investigation’s pace, criticising security agencies for their negligence and failure to reveal the facts. He directly challenged the killers, calling them “cowards” for their “backstabbing” actions.
He has demanded that the Governor, Chief Minister, and Chief Justice ensure the immediate arrest of the “cruel killers.” While the family will first observe the traditional mourning period (‘Fateha Khawani’), Mir Rehmat Saleh Baloch vowed that they “will not ignore this martyrdom” and will take all necessary steps to expose those responsible.
Waleed Saleh Baloch has been shot-dead by some unknown assailants in Panjgur last week on October 19th . The CM and provincial government then assured the immediate arrests of the culprits.
