Lahore: Security Officials Brief Media Representatives on Terrorism and National Unity
Lahore – Security officials and sources held a detailed meeting with media representatives in Lahore, emphasizing the need for national unity to defeat terrorism and external conspiracies.
The sources stated that eliminating the menace of Kharijite ideology and Indian-sponsored fitna in Pakistan requires the entire nation to stand united.
They stressed that the war against terrorism is not limited to the security forces, army, police, or Frontier Corps alone — it is the collective war of the entire Pakistani nation.
Success in this fight, they said, is conditional on the complete implementation of the National Action Plan.
They asserted that all sponsored terrorism inside Pakistan bears the hand of India.
Regarding a recent attack, the sources revealed that the perpetrator behind the Tirlai Imambargah incident received terrorist training in Afghanistan.
They declared that strict actions against both external and internal conspiratorial elements are now inevitable.
The officials appealed for unity beyond political or religious differences, saying no matter what one’s political or religious views may be, the nation must unite against terrorism.
They warned against division on the basis of ethnicity, language, or provincialism, urging the people to remain united and eradicate all forms of fitna.
They described the Indian-backed fitna as the real enemy of the Baloch people and the development of Balochistan.
The sources noted that three years ago, 15 to 20 million liters of Iranian petrol and diesel were being smuggled daily into Pakistan, but this smuggling has now been completely stopped.
They explained that the proceeds from such smuggling were being funneled into terrorist activities.
Good governance, they emphasized, is the only effective way to uproot terrorism.
The people of Balochistan, they added, have now clearly recognized those who carry out terrorism under the slogan of deprivation.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as well, the National Action Plan remains the key to controlling terrorism, and the recent meetings held in the province on this issue are a positive development.
Drawing a parallel, the sources said that just as the nation united in the battle for truth and defeated India, it will similarly defeat the terrorists.
They pointed out that visits to educational institutions clearly show that the people of Pakistan — especially the younger generation — stand like an impregnable wall behind the Pakistan Army.
No narrative can weaken the unbreakable bond between the army and the people, they affirmed, adding that “our only narrative is Pakistan.”
The sources described a recent statement by an opposition leader against the Pakistan Army as deeply regrettable and entirely based on falsehood.
They clarified that political dialogue and discussions are the prerogative of political parties, and the army has no role in politics.
Finally, they stated that all legal cases, court proceedings, and related matters must be decided strictly in accordance with the Constitution and the law by the courts.
