Islamabad: The Supreme Court of Pakistan has dismissed the Balochistan government’s appeal regarding the appointment of government spokespersons and coordinators.
The provincial government had challenged the earlier decision of the Balochistan High Court in the Supreme Court.
The case originated from a petition filed by Abdul Sadiq Khelji, on which the Balochistan High Court had declared the appointments of spokespersons and coordinators unconstitutional.
A three-member bench of the Supreme Court, headed by Justice Muhammad Hashim Kakar, heard the matter.
Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim Khan and Justice Ali Baqar Najafi were also part of the bench.
