ANF seizes major drug haul in various places

Karachi: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) is continuing its nationwide crackdown against drug trafficking across various cities of Pakistan.

According to the ANF spokesperson, five separate operations led to the arrest of four suspects and the seizure of 107.415 kilograms of narcotics, valued at over Rs. 112 million.

At Sialkot International Airport, ANF officials intercepted a passenger bound for Bahrain and recovered 950 grams of Ice (crystal meth) from his trolley bag, leading to his arrest.

Similarly, at Bacha Khan International Airport, 265 grams of Ice were recovered from the bag of a passenger heading to Karachi, who was also taken into custody.

In another operation at the Islamabad Motorway Toll Plaza, 1.2 kilograms of hashish were recovered from two suspects.

In the Yaro area of Pishin, 50 kilograms of hashish hidden for smuggling purposes were seized, while in the coastal town of Churbandar, Pasni, ANF recovered 40 kilograms of hashish and 15 kilograms of Ice that were concealed for trafficking.

The ANF spokesperson confirmed that legal cases have been registered against all arrested individuals under the Anti-Narcotics Act, and further investigations are underway
