ISLAMABAD: In a series of successful anti-narcotics operations across the country, including Balochistan, the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) seized drugs worth over Rs 25 million.
These crackdowns, targeting drug trafficking and smuggling networks, resulted in multiple arrests and the recovery of large quantities of narcotics.
In Kech, Balochistan, ANF recovered 8 kilograms of heroin hidden in an uninhabited area along Mand Road.
The drugs were intended for smuggling, and suspects involved have been taken into custody. According to the ANF spokesperson, the force is actively cracking down on drug trafficking near educational institutions and across major cities in the country.
In eight different operations, a total of 77.271 kilograms of drugs were seized, valued at over Rs 25.7 million. Nine suspects, including a woman, were arrested during these actions.
In Peshawar, 600 ecstasy pills were recovered near Al-Falah Market. The arrested suspect confessed to supplying drugs to students.
In Lahore, 42 kilograms of crystal meth (Ice) were recovered from bedsheets and pillows inside two courier parcels destined for Australia, intercepted at a courier office in the Upper Mall Scheme.
At Bacha Khan International Airport, 72 capsules containing 436 grams of Ice were recovered from a passenger traveling to Karachi.
Near Islamabad Motorway Toll Plaza, 500 grams of hashish and 3.6 kilograms of Ice were seized from a car’s hidden compartments.
Three suspects, including a woman, were arrested. In another raid, 16.8 kilograms of hashish were recovered from a bus passenger near Wadho Wah Gate, Qasimabad, Hyderabad.
Meanwhile, in Lahore’s Ferozewala area on GT Road, two motorcycle riders were caught with 3.6 kilograms of hashish.
In Dera Ghazi Khan, on Sakhi Sarwar Road near Tonmi Mor, 2 kilograms of Ice were seized from a suspect.

All arrested individuals are being prosecuted under the Anti-Narcotics Act, and further investigations have been initiated.
