ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan has once again emphasized the need for forming new provinces in the country.
Addressing a workers’ convention in Faisalabad, he stated that both Sindh and Punjab should be divided into multiple provinces.
According to him, creating three new provinces in Sindh and three in Punjab would greatly benefit the people.
He suggested naming the proposed Sindh provinces as Central Sindh, Southern Sindh, and Northern Sindh.
He added that Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa could also be reorganized into three provinces each.
Khan stressed that establishing smaller provinces is essential because it strengthens administrative control.
He said that neighboring countries already have smaller administrative units, and urged the chief ministers to support the idea of provincial division.
During his address, Abdul Aleem Khan also stated that under the leadership of the Army Chief, Pakistan’s military has inflicted a humiliating defeat on India.
He reaffirmed that the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party will continue to stand firmly with the Pakistan Army and will support anyone who supports the armed forces.
He further made it clear that those who spread nonsense on social media will be held accountable.
Creating new provinces can significantly improve governance and public welfare. Smaller administrative units allow governments to manage resources more effectively, respond faster to public needs, and ensure better delivery of services.
When a province is large, many regions often remain neglected due to distance, lack of access, or limited administrative reach.
Dividing such provinces helps bring government institutions closer to the people.
Additionally, new provinces can promote balanced development. Areas that lag behind in education, healthcare, infrastructure, and employment often get more attention when they have their own provincial setup.
It also reduces political tension among regions, gives people a stronger sense of representation, and creates fairer distribution of funds.
Overall, forming new provinces strengthens administrative control, improves governance, and ensures more equal development across the country.
