MUMBAI: Bollywood star Akshay Kumar and his wife, author and former actor Twinkle Khanna, were involved in a road accident on Tuesday while returning to their Juhu residence from the airport, Indian media reported.
According to initial reports, a speeding Mercedes car collided with an auto-rickshaw near Silver Beach Café in Juhu. The impact pushed the auto-rickshaw into a vehicle from Akshay Kumar’s security convoy, which then rammed into the actor’s SUV, triggering the accident.
No casualties were reported. All occupants remained safe, and the auto-rickshaw driver and passenger were quickly rescued from the vehicle.
Eyewitnesses said Akshay Kumar immediately stepped out of his car and, along with members of his team, assisted those affected at the scene.

The incident occurred on the same day the couple returned from abroad after celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary, according to reports. Authorities have not announced any further details about the incident.
