Ahsan Iqbal departs for a five-day visit of China

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for planning and Development Professor Ahsan Iqbal has departed for a five-day official visit to China.

He will be a guest honor of the launch ceremony of a Pakistan Satellite.

He will hold meetings with senior leaderships of the Chinese government and the diplomats during his stay in Beijing.

There will be discussions on space cooperation, CPEC Phase II, trade, investment and infrastructure development.

The Federal Minister will also review the preparations for the upcoming visit of the prime minister of Pakistan to China Joint Cooperation Committee (JCC) meeting on CPEC.

Ahsan Iqbal said that China’s mutual cooperation in various sectors is expanding.

The Federal Minister added that Pakistan is hopeful and actively engaged in learning from China’s development model.

He emphasized that CPEC is a practical symbol of Pak-China friendship, and Pakistan is fully committed to advancing industrial zones, agricultural progress, and high-tech collaboration under the second phase of the project.
