Islamabad: The Afghan government has simultaneously appealed to the United States to uphold the Doha Agreement while continuing to shelter anti-Pakistan terrorists on its own soil.
Kabul has reminded Washington that under the accord, the U.S. is obliged to respect Afghanistan’s territorial integrity and avoid interference, even citing former U.S. President Donald Trump’s call to retake Bagram Air Base as a violation.
However, Afghanistan’s plea is viewed as a façade.

Before lecturing others about adherence to the Doha Agreement, Kabul must put its own house in order, end support for militants, and abandon its duplicity. Only then can Afghanistan play a constructive role in fostering peace across the region.
It is worth mentioing that despite Pakistan’s frequent reminders, Afghanistan has not taken any necessary measures against the insurgents operating in KP and Balochistan after using Afghanistan’s territory.
