PESHAWAR: Another 5220 Afghan nationals repatriated from the Turkham Border yesterday.

According to the report, a total of 401 legal and 2,314 illegal Afghan nationals have returned through the Torkham border crossing. So far, more than 828,000 Afghan citizens have been repatriated to their homeland.

From the federal capital, Islamabad, 19 Afghan citizens were sent back, while 450 returned from Punjab yesterday.

To date, 25,392 Afghan nationals have been repatriated from other provinces. Through transit points in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 19 Afghan citizens were deported yesterday.

Additionally, repatriation of 7,261 individuals has been completed from prisons in Peshawar, Landi Kotal, and Kohat. On the same day, 1,326 Afghan citizens were kept temporarily in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa before being deported.

Overall, the report confirms that more than 828,000 Afghan refugees have been repatriated so far, including over 54,000 legal migrants and around 628,000 illegal Afghan nationals.

Pakistan vows that keeping in view the ongoing law-and-order and the security situation in Pakistan, all the foreigner citizens including those from Afghanistan should make a safe and peaceful return to their countries.

Once such people are deported, the government and the concerned departments will look forward to launch the development projects in KP and Balochistan to raise development, employment and trade across these provinces.

Pakistan have hosted the Afghan nationals since Russia war back in 1980s.

Despite spending five long decades in Pakistan, the Afghan nationals have never expressed their gratitude for Pakistan and its people.

They have been involved not only in the criminal activities but also in the foreign funded militancy.

The Afghan government, despite Pakistan’s friendly move, have been backing militant attacks on the armed forces and the civilians in KP and Balochistan.

Moreover, the ongoing Afghan government has been backing over 600 militant attacks in KP during 2025.

The Afghan security forces also launched attack on Pakistani territory through the Balochistan border area.
