Quetta: A meeting of the Apex Committee of Balochistan was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti to review the overall law and order situation in the province.
The session was attended by the Corps Commander Quetta, senior officials from the provincial Home Department, and other relevant security authorities.
Key points briefed to the Chief Minister during the meeting include:
- The repatriation of approximately 1 million Afghan refugees from Balochistan has been successfully completed.
- Under the Fourth Schedule of the Anti-Terrorism Act, the names of 330 individuals involved in poppy cultivation have been included.
- Action has been initiated against 9 persons for anti-state activities.
The meeting focused on evaluating security measures, ongoing counter-terrorism efforts, border management, and strategies to maintain peace and stability across the province.
Participants emphasized continued coordination between civil and military authorities to address emerging threats and ensure public safety.
