25 thousand Afghan national deported from Pakistan

QUETTA – The process of voluntary repatriation and deportation of Afghan nationals residing illegally in Pakistan is gaining pace nationwide following the expiry of the government’s deadline.

Balochistan news updates suggets that authorities report a marked rise in the return of Afghan refugees to their homeland.

In the border city of Chaman, the district administration continues an intensive operation.

According to the Deputy Commissioner, more than 150,000 Afghan nationals have so far crossed back into Afghanistan through the Chaman border, while over 25,000 others from Chaman city and nearby areas have been formally deported.

Officials stated that these actions are being carried out to uphold the rule of law, address security concerns, and protect national interests.

To assist those returning, the administration has set up relief camps, registration points, and transport facilities at the border.
