ISLAMABAD: Islamabad authorities have arrested an Afghan national, identified as Haris, for attempting to impersonate a US Embassy employee using a fraudulent identification card.
Haris, who is wanted in multiple fraud cases, was apprehended while trying to enter the Diplomatic Enclave.
He is currently in police custody as investigations continue.
According to the details, An Afghan citizen has sent a threatening letter to the US Embassy and a multinational company in Islamabad.
The Afghan citizen threatened to blow up the multinational company’s data factory/office with a bomb.
The Afghan citizen sent the threatening letter to the US Embassy, demanding action against the multinational company.
The threatening letter from the Afghan citizen stated that if the multinational company is not stopped, he will blow it up.
Police and agencies are investigating the threatening letter received by the multinational company from the Afghan citizen in Islamabad.
The Afghan citizen, in the threatening letter, mentioned blowing up the multinational company’s data factory/office.
The Afghan citizen claimed responsibility for the threat in the letter sent to the US Embassy.
It is worth mentionig that the in the recent times, the Afghan nationals have been globally recognized as the ones who cause law-and-order and the security concerns.
Pakistan has been the largest victim of the militancy backed and carried out by Afghanistan mainly sponsored and monitored by India.
In the last month, an Afghan national Rehmanullah shot-killed two Natioanl Guards near the White House in the United States.
Similarly, the Taliban militants killed three Chinese nationals in a drone attack in Tajikistan. The Chinese nationals were the employees of a development company in Tajikistan.
