Achakzai: Pakistan’s strikes are against Afghan govt, not Civilians

Jan Achakzai warns India of dire consequences over propaganda on Balochistan

QUETTA: Former Balochistan Information Minister Jan Achakzai has stated that Pakistan’s recent military actions in Afghanistan are not a war against the Afghan people, but a targeted campaign against the Taliban-led government and terrorist groups.

In a post on social media platform X, Achakzai clarified Pakistan’s position regarding ongoing border clashes. He asserted that the conflict has been “imposed on Pakistan” by what he called the “interim government of Afghanistan, the Taliban, and the Fitna al-Khawarij terrorists.”

He further alleged that Afghan intelligence services are supporting these groups in attacks against Pakistan.

Achakzai emphasized that Pakistan’s retaliatory measures are solely directed at terrorist bases and those involved in cross-border attacks. He stated that Pakistan does not want to target the Afghan people or civilian infrastructure, framing the conflict as a fight against “evil groups” within Afghanistan, not the citizens of the neighboring country.
