44 accidents in Balochistan in 24 hours, 77 people injured

QUETTA: AS many as 77 persons were injured in 44 traffic accidents only in the time span of last 24 hours.

According to the report of medical emergency response center most number of accidents were reported on the highways linked to Zhob and Khuzdar.

The number of accidents were 10 and 11 respectively. Some 15 people were injured in 10 accidents of N 25 national highway in Khuzdar.

On the N-25 in Mastung, four separate accidents left five people injured.

Two accidents each were also reported on the N-25 in Kalat, the N-50 in Ziarat and Zhob, and the N-65 in Sibi, resulting in a total of 12 injuries.

Additionally, single traffic accidents occurred on the N-25 in Lasbela, Winder, and Saranan, as well as on the N-50 in Sherani and the N-25 in Surab.

Similarly, one accident each was reported on the N-8 in Kech, the N-85 in Panjgur and Washuk, the N-85 in Barkhan, and the N-40 in Nushki.

Collectively, these incidents left 20 people injured.

According to officials, the main causes behind these accidents were overspeeding, poor road conditions, and frequent violations of traffic laws

The people have demanded the maintenance of the roads as well as strict implementation of traffic rules so that loss of precious human lives could be avoided.
