KABUL: The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) on Saturday dismissed social media reports claiming that the national team would skip the upcoming tri-nation series in Pakistan involving Sri Lanka and the host nation.
In a statement, the ACB said no decision had been made to withdraw from the tour, describing the circulating rumours as “completely baseless and misleading.”
The board confirmed that Afghanistan remains committed to participating in the tri-series as scheduled.
ACB officials noted that the national team is currently playing a bilateral series against Bangladesh in Abu Dhabi, which will conclude before the tri-nation tournament. Once the series ends, the team will travel to Pakistan to join the competition.
