PANJGUR: Assistant Commissioner Panjgur Iftikhar Zaheer conducted an inspection visit to the Teaching Hospital Panjgur Headquarters, focusing on strict adherence to duty hours and professional responsibilities.
The visit, carried out on Tuesday, aimed to assess the presence of medical staff and review the overall functioning of the health facility.
Furthermore, the Assistant Commissioner personally checked the hospital’s attendance register to verify the presence of doctors and other staff members.
The visit was part of an ongoing effort to improve public service delivery and ensure that essential health services remain available to citizens throughout the day.
In this regard, Zaheer expressed concern over reports of irregular attendance and stressed that the provision of healthcare services depends heavily on the timely availability of medical professionals.
He reminded staff that hospitals are critical public institutions where negligence directly affects human lives.
Moreover, the Assistant Commissioner issued a clear warning to all employees to maintain punctuality and ensure their presence during official duty hours. He said that any staff member found absent without authorization would face strict legal action.
In addition, he further directed hospital management to strengthen internal monitoring mechanisms and maintain transparent attendance records.
Zaheer also urged senior officials to ensure that patients receive timely treatment and that no department remains unattended during working hours. So far, the Assistant Commissioner met with patients and attendants to gather feedback on hospital services.
On this contrary, the DC Quetta had visited the BUITEMS university in order to inspect different stalls related to the corporate jobs.
In this sense, visitors mentioned the need for consistent availability of medical staff, improved cleanliness, and timely provision of medicines. Zaheer assured them that their concerns would be addressed and that steps would be taken to improve service delivery.
He reasserted the government’s commitment to enhancing healthcare facilities in the district and emphasized that reforms can only be effective when all employees fulfill their responsibilities with dedication.
