ISLAMABAD: Reports claiming the death of renowned Sufi singer Abida Parveen have been strongly denied by her family. Her daughter confirmed that Parveen is in good health and that all death rumors are completely false.
“My mother is perfectly fine,” her daughter said. “Fans are being misled with false news about her passing. We urge the public to rely only on verified sources.”
The daughter clarified that the confusion arose after a resident named Abida Parveen in Lahore’s Dullgran Chowk passed away on Thursday.
The false reports had caused concern among her fans both in Pakistan and abroad. Family sources appealed to the media and the public to avoid spreading unverified information and to respect the privacy of the singer and her family.
