QUETTA: The proscribed terrorist organization Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) has brutally killed a 30-year-old civilian, Allah Bakhsh, son of Hazar Khan Bangulzai.
So far, as per the local sources, the victim, a member of the Baloch community, was shot dead at close range, mentioning the group’s continued campaign of terror that disproportionately targets civilians, students, professors, religious scholars, law enforcement personnel, and members of the armed forces.
The BLA, banned by both the Government of Pakistan and the United Nations, has a long history of involvement in anti-state and terrorist activities across the province.
This incident raises fresh concerns about the ongoing wave of internal violence in Balochistan, where terrorist outfits like BLA continue to operate with brutal impunity.

There are civic voices that have begun questioning the silence of so-called human rights advocates and self-proclaimed champions of the Baloch cause, who remain quiet when the violence is perpetrated by elements within the community itself.
Furthermore, some observers argue that this systematic pitting of Baloch against Baloch by extremist groups is not only tragic but deeply strategic.

In this sense, law enforcement officials have condemned the killing and assured that a thorough investigation is underway.
However, the persistent challenge remains: despite being declared a terrorist entity by the highest international and national authorities, the BLA continues to conduct deadly operations with devastating effects on local populations.
This killing is yet another painful reminder of the complex layers of conflict in Balochistan, where not only the state but the very people the BLA claims to represent are among its primary victims.
The people of Balochistan, once again, mourn another son lost to senseless violence.
