Kalat Division sees 70% completion of 11,547 ongoing projects: Commissioner

KALAT: Commissioner of Kalat Division, Shahzeb Khan Kakar, has reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to the transparent, efficient, and timely completion of all ongoing and upcoming development projects across the division.

He made these remarks while presiding over a high-level meeting to review progress under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) and to discuss new initiatives planned for the 2025–2026 fiscal year.

During the meeting, the Director of Development presented a detailed briefing on 11,547 PSDP projects currently underway in the division, with a total investment of Rs. 150 billion. It was reported that 70% of the work on these projects has already been completed.

Commissioner Kakar emphasized that strict monitoring mechanisms are in place to ensure the effectiveness and sustainability of all development activities. He noted that all available resources are being deployed to deliver projects that directly benefit the public and meet high-quality standards.

He further stated that the performance of all concerned departments will be reviewed regularly to ensure accountability, official presence, and to minimise public inconvenience.

The meeting was attended by key officials, including Additional Commissioner Ejaz Ahmed Jaffar, Director Development Dr. Latif ur Rehman, and Superintending Engineers from Roads, Buildings, PHE, and Irrigation departments, as well as Divisional Conservator of Forest Syed Fareed Shah, among other senior officers.

The Commissioner reiterated that the administration is focused on ensuring long-term impact and value from development work through transparent practices and consistent oversight.
