ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has announced to observe the Youm-e-Tashakkur nationwide for the success of Operation Bunyan Marsus and giving the befitting reply to Indian aggression.
In a statement issued by PM office, PM Shehbaz said we are grateful to Allah for this success, who made us victorious against those who were trying to suppress the neighboring countries with its false narrative.
He said that the day of thanksgiving will be observed to prostrate in the presence of Allah Almighty, pay tribute to the bravery of the Pakistani armed forces and appreciate the courage and unity of the entire nation.
PM Shehbaz appealed that the nation, especially the scholars, should organize collective prayers and Nawafil prayers across the country today, express gratitude to Allah Almighty and offer special prayers for the martyrs and veterans.
Earlier, Pakistan gave a befitting reply to Indian aggression and targeted more than 10 targets in India during Operation Bunyan Marsus (Iron Wall).
The air bases and fields of Adampur, Udhampur, Bathinda, Suratgarh, Mamoon, Akhnoor, Jammu, Sirsa and Barnala were destroyed, and the Indian Uri Field Supply Depot, Sirsa and Halwara airfields were also destroyed.
Several Indian targets were hit by the Pakistani Fateh 1 missile system. In Adampur, the Pakistani army destroyed the S-400 air defense system worth one and a half billion dollars with a hypersonic missile at the Indian air base from a JF-17 Thunder.
Following the strong response of Pakistan forces, a ceasefire was reached between Pakistan and India.
